Our Story

Hi, I’m May—mama to Mia and the heart behind this little bracelet shop.

Like many little ones born during the pandemic, Mia had a tough time with separation as she grew. On the days it was especially hard for her to say goodbye at school drop-offs, I’d draw a heart on her hand—a quiet reminder that I was thinking of her even when we were apart.

As time passed, I wanted to give her something more lasting. I’ve always loved making jewelry, so I created matching bracelets for the two of us, with one special bead we called the “hug bead.” It was our way of staying connected—even when we couldn’t be together. That simple idea became our Pocket Hug Bracelet—a tiny comfort they can carry with them all day long.

At bedtime, my husband and I would gently remind her:
“We love you.”
“You are safe.”
“You are such a good girl.”
Those became her affirmations, and they inspired our Affirmations Bracelets—each one a wearable reminder of love, encouragement, and self-worth.

Later, I thought about how strong the emotional ties to scent can be. That’s when the idea for the Scentimentals Bracelets came—using lava stone beads that carry the familiar scent of home, so she could take a little piece of comfort with her, wherever she went.
